REPORTS TO:
Senior Financial Analyst & Senior Manager, Finance
We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. This role is designed for a well-rounded analyst who can adapt to various responsibilities, and provide support across multiple finance functions. Reporting to the Senior Financial Analyst and Senior Manager, Finance, this position will play a key role in financial analysis & reporting, process improvements, and acquisition implementation. Additionally, the successful candidate will assist with accounts payable and other finance-related tasks as needed.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Month-End Closing:
- Support month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve closing processes.
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
- Assist with financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.
- Provide actionable insights by analyzing financial trends, key performance indicators, and operational results.
Acquisition Implementation:
- Support the financial integration of new acquisitions, ensuring alignment with company processes and policies.
- Analyze acquisition performance and prepare post-acquisition financial reports.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure a smooth onboarding process for acquired entities.
Cross-Functional Support & Backup Responsibilities:
- Act as a backup for team members during vacations or absences, ensuring continuity in financial operations.
- Provide support in accounts payable and other finance-related tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in financial systems; experience with Yardi is highly preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.
- Enrollment in or willingness to pursue a CPA designation is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
